Made from the three primary 192 types of Aushadhis (trees, plants/grass/shrubs and vines), Lada Parampara formulates 32 different types of Lepanams or herbal paste for external application. One or a combination of herbs are mixed to form fine powder, and it is mixed with specific liquid to form a soft paste for usage. The most commonly used liquid or mixing mediums are water, oil, etc. However, the Vaid (Chikitsak) sometimes recommends special Panchagavya based mix mediums such as Gau Mutra (cow’s urine), herbal Ghee and Jaggery – depending on the complexity of the problem and need of balancing Doshas imbalances.

Then the medicated paste can be applied on full body, particular side of the body, or on the specific part of body – as and when needed, for different time duration. This process is known as Theppu or Aushadhi Lepanam, and is beneficial to treat Skin Diseases, Arthritis, Gout, Multiple Sclerosis MS Treatment etc.
